A man in his 70s with COVID-19 has died in NSW, as the state recorded 89 new cases of COVID to 8pm yesterday.
Of which 21 cases were infectious while in the community.
Of today's cases 75 were linked to a known case or cluster, 59 were household contacts and 16 close contacts.
Fourteen of the cases are under investigation.
55 cases were in isolation throughout their infectious period, while nine cases were in isolation for part of their infectious period.
There were 49,055 tests in the 24 hours to 8pm yesterday.
121 infringement notices were issued by NSW police in the past 24 hours.

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said a public health order has been issued requiring anyone living in Greater Sydney and working in regional NSW be tested for COVID every week.
Those in the Fairfield area who have to leave home for essential work have been asked to be tested every three days.
It comes as the COVID outbreak reached regional NSW with a positive case working at Goulburn.
The NSW Health Department confirmed the infected person in Goulburn was an essential worker who travelled from Sydney.
Ms Berejiklian re-iterated the need for people to stay at home.
"The other area of concern is people who need to leave home for work," she said.
"We will ask people who have to leave home for essential work to have a weekly COVID test even if they don't have symptoms.
"We do appreciate, for many citizens, conducting essential work is what all of us rely on - but we can't afford to have the virus spread.
"Stay home, do not leave home unless absolutely necessary.
"And if you live in the Fairfield area, please get tested every three days.
"If you are an essential working leaving Sydney and going to the regions and have no symptoms, we still want you to get tested.
"This surveillance testing is only for people who don't have symptoms.
"If you have symptoms, you should not be going anywhere."
Meanwhile, Victoria has recorded one new case, from a family of four, who live in the local government area of Hume and recently returned from NSW on red zone permits.
It comes on the back of three removalists, two of whom have tested positive, travelling from Sydney through Victoria to Adelaide last week.
