ALBUM REVIEW: Dee Gees (Foo Fighters) - Hail Satin

HOT FEVER: Hail Satin sees The Foo Fighters cover The Bee Gees.

HOT FEVER: Hail Satin sees The Foo Fighters cover The Bee Gees.

I CHALLENGE anyone to suppress a smile as they listen to The Foo Fighters groove their way through The Bee Gees' disco classics. The cleverly named Dee Gees, aka The Foo Fighters, have dropped the world's craziest covers album in Hail Satin.

Dave Grohl's falsetto is surprisingly strong as he croons You Should Be Dancing, Night Fever, Tragedy and More Than A Woman, while drummer Taylor Hawkins shows off his pipes on Shadow Dancing. The second half of the album features five live versions from Foo Fighters' 2021 album Medicine At Midnight, and it sounds like an afterthought following the Bee Gees covers.

Grohl long ago reached a level of success which offers pure freedom. This is the Fooeys taking full advantage and it's incredibly fun.
