The state government has launched a new app to show proof of vaccination, check in at venues and access G2G passes.
The ServiceWA app will also allow people to access COVID-19 information including where to get tested and exposure location sites.
The app will make proof of vaccination requirements more robust because of features like the live clock timer, shimmering coat of arms and animated certificate tick that proves the user's COVID-19 digital certificate is authentic.
WA Health minister Amber-Jade Sanderson said the app would simplify the check-in process.
"With changes in our COVID-19 response and vaccinations coming on board as another essential public health measure, the ServiceWA app is the best way forward in making our transition as convenient as possible and helping to keep our community safe," she said.
"The app has the capacity to accommodate additional COVID-related services in the future."
The Australian Hotels Association (WA) welcomed the release of the ServiceWA app.
"As WA prepares to reopen in February and Omicron inevitably enters the community, we need systems in place that makes compliance with the public place vaccine mandate as easy possible," chief executive Bradley Woods said.
"WA's hospitality industry is desperately looking forward to the day when COVID-19 restrictions are just a memory, but in the meantime, we back measures which make life easier for staff to comply with government requirements."
Setting up the ServiceWA app takes some time, and people should allow at least 30 minutes to complete this new process at home.
People won't be required to show additional identification to enter certain businesses and venues if they use the ServiceWA app, as opposed to COVID-19 digital certificates stored in smartphone wallets or hardcopies.
People will be able to continue to use the SafeWA app to check in at venues, however eventually this app will become out-of-date, so it is recommended Western Australians download ServiceWA and begin using this app to check in on SafeWA.
