Fitzgeralds Jewellers was broken into twice in a matter of days, with extensive damage caused to the interior of the store.
Collie senior sergeant Mike Dean said they are currently following a line of inquiry.
“We have a couple of suspects that we hope to locate as quickly as possible,” he said.
Owner of Fitzgerald Jewellers Margaret Fitzgerald said it’s the first time the store has been targeted.
“In 26 years we have not had one break-in,” she said.
“The store was broken into in the early hours of Saturday morning.”
“They had only about 30 seconds in the store before the alarms went off, and only minutes before the police arrived.”
Ms Fitzgerald said forensics managed to get two different boot prints from inside the store, as well as fingerprints from the scene.
“We got everything cleaned up and replaced the glass, then we were broken into again at about 5am on Monday morning,” she said.
“The rings are easily identifiable with ‘RJ’ printed on the inside.”
“All customer repairs go in the safe so they are secure at all times.”
”Crank'n Cycles was also targeted on the weekend, with an attempted break-in at the store at around 10pm on Friday evening.
Store owner Erik Mellegers said two people tried several times to enter the store via a locked door at the front, using a large piece of railway line to try and break it open.
The culprits then returned to try and enter the premises via the roof, scaring resident cat Sprocket away, only to return home safely on Monday.
Damaged was sustained to the door, locks, and shed.
Mr Mellegers thanked some local youth who saw what was happening and alerted police.
