The crew at the popular Margaret River venue will kick off the Firecracker Friday challenge this Friday September 22 and will be serving up the wings, with four levels of spiciness, every day through the school holidays.
Brewhouse’s Ilya Hastings said the challenge was open to anyone game enough to tackle the increasingly-spicy sauces.
“Our Firecracker chicken wings are made with sustainably-sourced free range chicken in a Bastard Brown beer batter,” he said.
“We then have four Firecracker sauces available, starting with ‘Poppers’. This is our kids sauce, if you can’t handle this, don’t bother going on with the rest.”
At the second level challengers face ‘Fountains’, which Hastings said would deliver a punch to the tongue.
“Level three is our ‘Rockets’ sauce and if you’re handling this, you’re doing well.
“Then we hit level four, the ‘Aerial Repeaters’. If you still have any tastebuds left, then we congratulate you.”
Challengers can upload their wing-eating selfies and best facial expressions to Instagram or Facebook and tag #firecrackerfridays and #brewhousemaragretriver.

Each week a winner will be chosen from the entries and with winners collecting Brewhouse merchandise or a free beer.
The winning submissions will be selected by the Brewhouse’s cracker experts and owners, ‘Ils, Browny and Undies’ and announced on the venue’s social media platforms each week.
The brewery has also launched their spring trading hours, opening Monday to Thursday from 11am to 7pm and Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 9pm.
Hastings said live music would begin this weekend with the Fagan Brothers on Friday and Chief Monkey on Sunday September 24.
