Big names in the entertainment world will headline the 2019 LiveLighter Busselton Fringe.
The festival returns with a line-up of edgy, saucy, silly and downright funny performances from live theatre and burlesque, to film and stand-up comedy.
Comedians Ciaran Lyons and Pete Rowsthorn will be part of the comedy action, as well as fresh shows from Fringeworld including BurLEZque, DIVAS all male revue and Steampunk Cabaret.
The event is again sponsored by Healthway and the City of Busselton.
City of Busselton mayor Grant Henley was enthusiastic about the event.
“Busselton Fringe offers people a unique cultural experience,” he said.
“People of all ages can experience a fabulous diversity of arts – it’s really worth getting involved and having some fun.”
Healthway chief executive officer Susan Hunt PSM said Healthway was proud to provide $10,000 to the City of Busselton to deliver the LiveLighter health message for the third year in a row.
“LiveLighter shows us how to lead active, healthier lives, and Busselton Fringe is such a great community event for getting this message out to people while they are enjoying the spectacular array of performances on offer,” she said.
This year’s festival will also feature several productions from South West theatre companies.
Warm Up acts can be enjoyed early! Several performances will run pre-festival, from February 23.
Then from 5.30pm March 1, people can wind-down at the Acting Up Studio in ArtGeo, known as Fringe Central.
While there, people can check out the blackboards showing the entire weekend program, book tickets direct from the box office and see a show.
This year LiveLighter Busselton Fringe is collaborating with the Dunsborough Arts Festival with a Fringe hub at the Dunsborough Hall and shows running all weekend.
