Young surfers from the Margaret River region were excited to take part in the Rising Tides all-girl surf session alongside some of the world's best female surfers last week.
Surfers aged 6 to 16 jumped in the water at Main Break in pumping conditions, surfing with tour favourites Bronte Macaulay, Stephanie Gilmore, Nikki Van Dijk and Carissa Moore.

9 year old surfer and Margaret River Independent School (MRIS) student Olive Hardy said she was excited to have the opportunity to surf with her idols.
"My favourite pro surf girls are Carissa Moore from Hawaii and Bronte Macaulay from Gracetown," Olive said.

Olive said she was able to maintain a bond formed with Moore after meeting her in 2018.
"I was super lucky last year and met Carissa a few times because she was staying on our street," she said.
"She recognised me this year and we paddled all the way out at Main Break together. She is so friendly and funny and such an amazing surfer.
"It was a really fun day, thank you to everyone who organised Rising Tides and MRIS for letting me have the day off school to go along.
