A new theatre production created by local puppet creator and producer Sky River will feature stunning semi-life sized puppets in an original script.
'Digby and the Dragon' boasts a cast of unique puppets and according to Sky River is a collaboration of a network of local artists who have helped to develop the show.
Sky was a successful recipient of the Country Arts Regional Artists Fund, supporting her as an individual artist to create the locally inspired production.
"Stories have always been a way to teach people about their place in the world," said Sky.
"It is my aim to engage the power of imagination and explore fresh Australian stories that both acknowledge the wider natural world and encourage social change."

The show is aimed at families and includes original music by Saul Harvey Cresswell, film and animation by Danny Jennings and the Dream Dragon puppet made by leather worker David Skeats.
"It is very exciting to produce this play locally, most of the cast are professionally trained in Theatre and the Arts and it feels like a unique opportunity to utilise our skills in the place we call home," Sky said.
With the support of Arts Margaret River, 'Digby and the Dragon,' is set to premiere in the new HEART theatre on October 2 and 3, during the school holidays.
