The Margaret River Lions Club has once again donated a generous sum to help locals in need, thanks to the packed-out annual Ladies Night held recently at the group's Sale Shed.
Collecting the $2000 cheque at the Shed this week, River Angels' Lynda Donovan said the funds would go towards assisting local families affected by cancer.
"We have new families joining our list every month who require help in so many ways, from providing meals to cleaning, gardening, child minding, and a huge range of other regular aspects of daily life that become nearly impossible when parents and income earners are undergoing treatment for cancer," she said.
"The generosity of both the Lions Club and the attendees at this year's Ladies Night means we are able to continue that support based right here in Margaret River.
"You can really see the money raised at these local events being used to help fellow residents every single day."
The Lions Club's annual Ladies Night has now been running for five years, often selling out and drawing a generous crowd.
