The Yallingup Boardriders held the 20th anniversary of their Single Fin Theory contest last Sunday, November 10, at Mainbreak where the invited competitors were greeted with perfect waves all day.

The summer like conditions made for an epic event with strong offshore winds in the morning and a rising 2m swell producing reeling right and left handers.
The annual Single Fin Theory is a homage to the 1960's and 1970's when boards only had one fin and they were surfed with a different style.
The fun waves of Yallingup were the perfect backdrop for this event with many locals and spectators reminiscing of the good old days.
Local legend Taj Burrow took home the spectacular winning trophy and relished the opportunity to rip into the wave where he grew up surfing.
A combination of powerful cutbacks and solid floaters over the reef break gave him the wining scores to victory over good mates Dino Adrian in second place and Jay Davies third with other finalists Paul Paterson, Warren Boyes and Tommy Trigwell rounding out the top six.
The 48 competitors once again enjoyed a perfect day of surf with friends and gracefully rode the waves on the vintage boards and will be back again next year for this popular event.
Forecast: Thursday will be offshore with SE winds and a 1.7m swell while Friday looks a similar size with E winds. The weekend brings more SE to variable winds with a dropping 1.5m swell which will be very small by Sunday.
