The Margaret River Lions Club will donate the proceeds of their next Mega Garage Sale to the Australian Lions Foundation's Queensland and New South Wales fire disaster appeal.
"We anticipate raising in excess of $10,000 on the day," said Margaret River Lions Club spokesperson Brian Prendergast. "Our Club will then square the donation off to $20,000 on behalf of the club and the local community."
"Lions are going above and beyond to support their local communities through this terrifying time," said Lions Australia CEO Rob Oerlemans.
"It doesn't stop there however, with Lions coming together to support those in need. The Foundation has been accepting donations from Clubs across the country to help these communities get back on their feet."
To help the Lions raise funds towards the appeal, head to the next Mega Garage Sale at 12 Burton Road from 8.30am this Saturday November 23 from 8.30am to 12.00pm.
