St Thomas More Catholic Primary School has donated eight hampers to the St Vincent de Paul Margaret River chapter to be distributed over Christmas to needy families within the Margaret River area.
John O'Dwyer, who is a volunteer with the St Vincent de Paul Margaret River chapter, was humbled as he accepted the hampers, made up of items generously donated from families within the St Thomas More school community.
Mr O'Dwyer said that the items would be gratefully received from families who would otherwise be going without over the Christmas period and would bring much joy.
St Vincent de Paul volunteers work hard to assist families in need and would gratefully accept further donations from the wider community over the Christmas period.
St Thomas More Year 6 Social Justice leaders coordinated this appeal within the school, with the assistance of the school's Assistant Principal, Nicolle Achmad.
