Lovers of Christmas music and festive theatre will be kept entertained next week with the Margaret River Theatre Group's 'We Love Christmas' cabaret shows.
The three-show run will see the newly renovated Cowaramup Hall transformed with holiday decorations and piles pf presents.
"We're literally decking the Hall," said musical director Ian Smith.
"This is our fourth cabaret, and we were all really excited to produce a Christmas show after We Love Broadway, Disney and Hollywood.
"There is something about Christmas music that is equal parts frivolous, and peaceful.
"There are some Christmas songs that make you stop in your tracks, they're so heavy with emotion.
"Then there are these all-out joy-fests that demand a big, hearty singalong."
The family friendly show features an all-local line up of performers, including a live band and singers and actors ranging from 16 years to 60 and beyond.
"Our audiences keep coming back, and they keep growing as people realise how much fun the cabarets are, and just how good our talented musicians are in this community.
"People also get a kick out of seeing people they work or go to school with, getting up on that stage and not only having a go, but doing a really amazing job.
"We get a lot of new faces at auditions, and often it is because they've seen 'regular people' get on stage and they realise that yes, maybe they can enjoy singing and performing... it's not as scary when you have such a supportive group of people around you."
We Love Christmas will mix contemporary favourites from artists like Mariah Carey, Dolly Parton, Paul Kelly and Michael Buble with singers featuring in solo, duet and ensemble performances.
"We also have a couple of cheeky characters who are tasked with bringing Christmas to Cowie... and in light of all the restrictions and delays we've had this year, they've got a bit of a job ahead of them!"
We Love Christmas is at Cowaramup Hall on Saturday December 12 (7pm) and Sunday December 13 (2pm & 7pm).
A licensed bar will be on site for evening sessions. Attendees are welcome to BYO snacks. Tickets via www.mrtg.com.au.
