A tweet comparing the federal government’s commitment to Tasmanian tourism with the box office flop The Hangover Part III has received the tick of approval from Premier Will Hodgman.
Mr Hodgman’s official twitter account ‘liked’ a tweet by Tourism Industry Council Tasmania CEO Luke Martin that he “hadn’t been so underwhelmed since I saw Hangover 3” after the Coalition announced a $5 million Tasmanian tourism package.
Labor tourism spokesman Scott Bacon said the tweet showed the state government was at loggerheads with their federal counterparts over committing to the Cradle Mountain plan, which the state has pledged $15 million to.
“You know Tasmania has been let down by the Prime Minister when even the Liberal Premier agrees,” he said.
Mr Hodgman later tweeted the ‘like’ had been accidental.
