Organisers of South West music festival Good Day Sunshine say they have exhausted all options to reschedule, after state border closures forced the cancellation of the music festival.
Originally planned to take place at the Dunsborough Playing Fields on March 6, the cancellation was announced last week.
"The current closure of the WA / VIC border is restricting Missy Higgins from entering the state, we have reached the point-of-no-return and cannot hold out any longer with no clear indication of when the border will reopen," the promoters posted on Facebook on Thursday.
"We've exhausted all options of a reschedule and cannot find a date where all three artists and a suitable venue are available in the coming months.
"Rather than replace artists and change venues, all tickets holders will automatically receive a refund for their tickets from Oztix in the coming days.
"We understand and share in your frustration; those who have made plans, booked accommodation, babysitters and the like to make the event, and we send our thanks to you all in advance for your understanding."
Headline acts have vowed to keep the region on their tour schedules, with a special show announced featuring Missy Higgins and Ben Lee on Saturday April 17 at 3 Oceans Wine Company - Margaret River.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Monday 1 March. More information can be found at www.3oceans.oztix.com.au
The Waifs will play Mandurah Performing Arts Centre this Tuesday March 2, before heading south to Margaret River for a show at The River.
