MARGARET River’s Cyber Corner Café will shut its doors at the end of this month due to financial struggles.
Café owner and manager Stefani Bosbach said the closure was sad but she realised as technology advanced and as other businesses set up, the cyber café was no longer essential to the town, although it was still useful for printing.
“Bits and pieces accumulated,” Ms Bosbach said.
She said rent was also a major contributor.
The business has run for more than 13 years, set up on Ned Higgins Lane near Memorial Park, and Ms Bosbach has been the owner since August last year.
In her time, she said many memories had been made and she appreciated the regular customers who were the backbones of the café.
“The upside is I’ve learnt so much in the past year and the local customers are just gems,” she said.
Passionate about computers, Ms Bosbach hopes to study multimedia before going on to work in a similar environment.
People are invited to a huge extended garage sale before the shop closes.
For sale are items including a 1973 Statesman radio in working order, computers, coffee tables, fridges, printer, recliners, noticeboards, bar chairs, lounge, cash register, surfing poster signed by Stephanie Gilmore, coffee grinders, and many more miscellaneous items.
The sale starts now until July 30, open 9am-7pm Mondays to Thursdays, and 10am-7pm Fridays to Sundays.
All fair offers will be considered, everything needs to go.
