The free Augusta Margaret River Boating Guide will be made available from the Marine Safety Education Trailer in Margaret River and Augusta in November.
Department of Transport Safety Education coordinator Laurie Adams said the new guide contained information for users on the harbour, safe boating tips and information on what to do in hazardous waters around Cape Leeuwin and the Blackwood River.
“It’s recommended the guide is kept on board a vessel for the skipper’s easy reference – especially when entering unfamiliar waters,” Mr Adams said.
Augusta and Margaret River boat owners can visit the department’s Marine Safety Education Trailer in their town centre on November 3 and 4, 2014 to pick up a copy of the guide and be informed of the latest marine safety information.
