Sport and Recreation and acting Regional Development minister Mia Davies said the program gave funding to eligible regional local government authorities to help with the maintenance and upgrade of their aquatic centre facilities, courtesy of funding through Royalties for Regions.
Margaret River Recreation Centre is set to receive $32,000 to improve their facilities.
“Aquatic centres are important facilities and there is evidence they are well patronised and improve educational and social outcomes,” Ms Davies said.
“This investment increases the vibrancy and liveability of regional WA communities.”
