The much-anticipated rain held off, umpires were in place and supporters ready... game on!
Hawks had the home ground advantage, but Collie travelled with their “A Team” and some key Colts players to fill their undermanned ranks.
The Hawks relentlessly attacked the ball, pushing forward with several great passages of play, Luke Furlong at the vanguard.
Each goal and set play starting with great defence, through the centre and into our forward 50.
Consistent and persistent team work seemed to be the fruition of training days and coaching skills.
There were a number of star players like Tane, Luke, Deegan and the two Charlie’s but the biggest stand out this week was ‘Team Work’.
The boy’s skills are improving each week, as is their confidence and the team are keen to face South Bunbury at their home ground Gloucester Park from 1pm.

Margaret River Hawks Under 14s
The AMR under 14’s Hawks team enjoyed a convincing win at home on Saturday against the Boyanup Cardinals.
The game showed off the team’s hard training, skills and dedication to teamwork and are reaping the early season rewards atop the ladder three weeks into the competition.
