The Margaret River A2 women’s hockey team bought home another win on Saturday.
It was a weary warm up after three weeks without games or training, but the women hit the ground running and yielded a pleasing win of 3 – 0 over Capel.
Margaret River had to scramble for enough players leading up to the game and had only one sub on game day. New mum Courtenay Callow returned to the field and saved the team from several of Capels attempts at goal. Soph, debuted a return to the field also and clinched a shot at goal.
Margaret River was simple in their plays and pressed hard into the attacking line. This forced Capel into quick passes that created avenues for our team to dominate.
With only a few weeks left to go before semi-finals another win up their sleeves means the team is faring well in second place on the ladder.
