Fabulous sunny weather, meant warmer playing conditions for the Margaret River Hockey Club Year 6-8 Boys team on Saturday.
The group headed north with a full team and some spare players for substitutions for their last fixture against Cavaliers at the Busselton Stadium.
Consistent pressure from Margaret River resulted in a goal in the first half from Lincoln Rourke.
Despite a strong defence from the Cavaliers, Margaret River scored again in the second half with a well timed play from Macbeth Hately.
Hately was awarded the Margaret River Priceline Player of the Match, for great leadership and focus in the game.
The team has worked hard with the coach, Luke Altman, this year and is now positioned second on the ladder as they head into the finals in the next few weeks.
