The Margaret River Gropers Rugby Union Club debuted its first junior team over the weekend, when the Under 8s Gropers travelled to play in a three-game round robin in Australind.
According to club spokesperson Narelle Rodley, the juniors relished their introduction to the game on Sunday.
"All of the children loved their first taste of the game of rugby, playing their very best and even scoring some tries," she said.
The Junior Gropers Rugby Club plays every Sunday in Busselton, Bunbury or Australind.

Boys and girls are most welcome to join in the rugby training, and no prior knowledge of the sport is required.
"We would would love to get some more 7 to 10 years olds playing - younger children 5+, but will be playing on the day for Busselton," said Mrs Rodley.
Training is held on Wednesdays from 4.30pm at the Nippers Oval in Margaret River.
Kidsport is available for those that are eligible.
