"We were pleased to receive a grant through the Shire's program which has allowed us to continue with the establishment of the new online market platform," explained market director Katrina Lombardo.
The new site allows shoppers to select items from market stallholders and collect each Friday from a central location on Station Road in Margaret River.
"This allows vulnerable shoppers, as well as those without the ability to get to the market each week, or those who are busy with other committments, to have wider access to that great local produce," Ms Lombardo said.
"It also provides a way for our more vulnerable stallholders to continue trading with their customers."
The award winning market has long been a social gathering for locals and visitors to the State's South West foodbowl, but Ms Lombardo stressed the importance of maintaining social distancing measures.
"As much as we feel safe in this part of the world, and as much as we adore our market community, it can't quite be back to 'business as usual' just yet," she said.
"We love the magic that happens at the markets each Saturday and we can't wait for that to return, but for the safety of everyone we need to keep that distance, avoid lingering at the markets for too long, don't bring the whole family, just come along and do your shopping and head home."
