The number of homes and business without nbn services across Northern NSW has risen to 62,000, while 20,000 homes are still without power.

A power outage at a fibre access node in flood-hit Woodburn, south of Lismore, impacted 56,000 homes and businesses.
The facility at Woodburn provides fixed line services to homes and business in Tweed Heads, Kingscliff, Currumbin Valley, Byron Bay, Brunswick Heads, Ballina, Lennox Head and Evans Head.
This site had been running on battery power, however the battery has been exhausted. Due to floodwaters it is not possible to access the site safely.
The remaining 6000 customers are located around the Lismore area, representing a decrease from more than 12,000 from late Tuesday.
Restoring the remaining services in this area as soon as possible is the intention however this may take some time due to floodwaters still making site access difficult and unsafe in some areas.
Meanwhile, Essential Energy reported late on Tuesday that 20,000 customers were without power.
Crews took to the skies to get a bird's eye view of some of the damage to the electricity network.
Damage was widespread with crews seeing many trees over powerlines, poles washed away, and electrical assets completely immersed in water.
Unfortunately, with flood waters so high across the region our teams cannot safely access the network to start repairs in many areas.
Essential Energy is urging customers to stay safe and to be aware of the risk of electrocution during flooding situations.
For boaties, it ss important to stay at least 8 metres away from lines and always treat them as live.
If powerlines have fallen into water, customers should stay at least 150 metres away and call Essential Energy on 13 20 80.
